Evansville, IN – Evansville Police Officer Sam Taylor is one step closer to receiving a specially adapted truck designed to help him become more mobile and independent.
Earlier this summer, Taylor received a truck donated by JD Sheth, the Evansville Police Foundation and the Evansville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #73.
The truck officially entered the adaptive modification process last week. According to the Evansville Police Department, the work is expected to take approximately four to six weeks.
Once completed, the vehicle will be equipped with modifications intended to make it easier for Taylor to drive and use, allowing him greater mobility and independence.
The Evansville Police Department and JD Sheth Foundation said they were excited for Taylor and his family as they look forward to having the newly adapted vehicle.
The organizations also thanked everyone involved in making the donation and modifications possible and said they look forward to seeing Taylor behind the wheel of his new truck.
