Dover, Indiana – Details of a project to upgrade State Road 32 west of I-65 and the city of Lebanon will be discussed at an upcoming hearing.
On May 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., a hearing for the Indiana Department of Transportation will take place at Western Boone Junior-Senior High School, 1205 State Road 75, close to Thorntown.
According to a news release from INDOT, the project’s objectives are to expand passing lanes and improve the “rideability” of the road surface.
In the unincorporated community of Dover, on the southwest corner of state roads 32 and 75, a gas station and a convenience store would also benefit from the project’s improved accessibility.
Nearly 10 miles are covered by the project.
Throughout the project, two-way traffic and access to homes and businesses should be maintained.
Both federal and state funding will be used to cover the projected $16.5 million price tag.
More information on the project is available on the INDOT website. The Lebanon Public Library, located at 104 E. Washington St., also has the plans available. The INDOT Crawfordsville District office is located at 41 Montgomery County Road West 300 North, which is close to Crawfordsville and just to the northwest of the I-74/U.S. 231 intersection.
Written comments can be submitted up until May 26 and before the public hearing. Dylan Sievers can be reached at 8770 North Street, Suite 110, Fishers, IN 46038, by phone at 317-588-1739, or by email at dseivers@rqaw.com.
