Indianapolis, Indiana – From March 31 to April 2, 3,000 music students and educators will congregate in Indianapolis for the national festival “Music for Everyone.”
The 2023 event will feature performances by 66 high school and middle school concert bands, orchestras, percussion ensembles, and chamber ensembles from 17 different states. The festival also takes place for the first time this year after it was forced to end early in 2020 owing to a coronavirus epidemic.
On the Butler University campus, performances will take place at Clowes Memorial Hall, the Warren Performing Arts Center, the Howard L. Schrott Center for the Performing Arts, the Event Center in Shelton Auditorium, and The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts. The Honor Band of America and the Jazz Band of America will also perform at the festival.
The public is welcome to the festival concerts. The Clowes Memorial Hall box office sells tickets for the April 2 performances of the Honor Band of America and Jazz Band of America. There are other concerts that are free.
