Indianapolis, Indiana – Immediately after midnight on Monday, two people were stabbed on the city’s west side, and Indianapolis police detained a 15-year-old girl.
Around 12:15 a.m., members of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department rushed to a residence in the 3200 block of Welch Drive, close to Georgetown Road and West 34th Street, in response to a report of a stabbing.
When the police arrived, they discovered a mother and her son. They claimed the son’s girlfriend had stabbed them, according to a police report News 8 was able to obtain.
The male victim’s age or if he was a minor was not disclosed by IMPD.
Although the mother and son were rushed to a hospital, it was unclear how they were doing.
The 15-year-old suspect was detained on suspicion of domestic battery, aggravated battery, and battery with a deadly weapon, according to a police report.
No other information was immediately available, and IMPD declined to comment on what caused the stabbing.
