Indiana – It seem like the recent Covid-19 it’s just taking a hit in Indiana since the daily numbers of new cases, hospitalizations and deaths are rising according to the Indiana State Department of Health reports.
The state recorded 3.641 new Covid-19 cases in the latest daily report issued on Tuesday. According to the same report, 57 additional Covid-19 related deaths were reported.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of recorded positive cases now reaches 829,010 positive cases.
The total number of deaths recorded in the state is now 14,320 since the start of the pandemic. 13,885 are confirmed deaths, while 435 are considered as probable deaths.
Currently, there are 1,956 people infected with the virus hospitalized for treatment. This is the highest number of hospitalized patients recorded since the end of January and 99 more compared to Monday.
The state’s 7-day average of cases — 3,317 — is the highest since late January, while the 7-day average of deaths — 15.14 — is the most since early March.
A total of 6,135,656 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana. The number includes 3,077,486 first doses and 3,058,170 fully vaccinated individuals.
Among all tests, the cumulative positivity rate is 8.5%, while the seven-day positivity rate is 10.8%.
