Indiana – It looks like the start of the school year didn’t go as planned in Indiana since the number of students positive on Covid-19 is on the rise and by far higher than initially expected.
According to the latest data, between 3,500 and 4,000 students tested positive on Covid-19 since last Monday to last Friday.
Indiana State Department of Health will update the Covid-19 statistics every Monday. The total number of confirmed positive cases in students, teachers and school staff is 3,894.
The number of Covid-19 positive students is 3,504, although this number might rise, 172 teachers tested positive and 218 school staff employees tested positive for the same period.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 40,715 students, 6,598 teachers and 7,881 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
