Evansville, IN – The Evansville Fire Department announced the promotion of Firefighter Paige Jones to lieutenant, recognizing her work and involvement across the department since joining in 2020.
Jones began her career with EFD in 2020 and has served on Engine 14, C-Shift.
During her time with the department, she became involved in several specialized teams and department initiatives.
Her roles have included serving on the Rope Team, Confined Space Team and Peer Support Team.
She previously served on the Gear Committee, helped inspect ambulances ahead of EFD’s EMS launch and assisted with hiring interviews.
Jones also represents the Evansville Fire Department as a fighter in Guns & Hoses, continuing to participate in the department’s community and charitable activities.
At Station 14, Jones’ captain gave her the unofficial nickname “Miss Positivity,” highlighting the positive attitude she brings to the workplace and her crew.
Outside of the fire department, Jones enjoys spending time with friends and is working toward earning her solo skydiving license.
The Evansville Fire Department congratulated Jones on her promotion and recognized her dedication, leadership and contributions throughout her career with the department.
