Evansville, IN – The Evansville Fire Department took part in a proclamation ceremony hosted by the Mayor’s Office on July 1 at 6:45 p.m., recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The event brought together city officials, veterans, personnel from the Evansville Police Department, and members of the Evansville Fire Department in a joint commemoration of the historic milestone.
During the ceremony, Ladder 1, Engine 2, and Ladder 16 were present to represent the department alongside other emergency services and city personnel. Ladder 1 and Ladder 16 also participated in flying the American flag above the Civic Center as part of the observance.
Officials and attendees stood together in recognition of the nation’s history, the service of those who have contributed to it, and the continued commitment to the local community by first responders and city staff.
