Evansville, IN – The City of Evansville is thanking public safety personnel, city crews, and attendees following the successful Fireworks on the Ohio celebration held Thursday evening in downtown Evansville.
According to Downtown Evansville Indiana, extensive planning and preparation helped make the annual event safe and enjoyable for the thousands of residents and visitors who gathered for the festivities.
Organizers recognized the Evansville Police Department for its partnership and coordination in supporting the celebration and helping ensure the event was conducted safely.
The City of Evansville’s Street Maintenance Department was also thanked for preparing Dress Plaza ahead of the event, cleaning the area for guests who gathered to watch the fireworks display.
Before the celebration began, organizers encouraged attendees to help keep downtown clean by using the trash containers provided throughout the venue.
The Fireworks on the Ohio celebration drew crowds to downtown Evansville for an evening of Independence Day festivities, with city officials and event organizers expressing appreciation to everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
