Evansville, IN – The City of Evansville says construction will begin this month on a major splash pad project at Igleheart Park, replacing the former Lloyd Pool site with a new recreational attraction designed for families and children of all ages.
According to city officials, the splash pad is expected to become the largest in Indiana once completed. Plans for the project include multiple interactive play areas tailored to different age groups.
The new facility will feature a toddler zone, a mixed-use play area, and a separate section designed specifically for children ages 5 through 12.
City leaders said the project is part of Evansville’s broader effort to improve neighborhood parks and expand access to safe and family-friendly recreational spaces throughout the community.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this month, with completion expected by late summer, according to officials.
