Evansville, IN – Authorities in Evansville have confirmed an arrest following a suspicious death reported earlier this week, marking a significant development in an ongoing homicide investigation.
According to a news release issued on April 16, 2026, Kelly M. Casey, 46, has been charged with murder in connection to the incident. The case stems from an emergency call received on April 15, when officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Lodge Avenue in response to what was described as a sensitive situation.
The 911 caller reported that a woman was being assaulted and that a male individual had become unresponsive. Upon arrival, officers discovered an elderly man at the scene who was pronounced dead.
Police detained two individuals at the location and transported them to headquarters for questioning shortly after the incident. Investigators have not released further details about the circumstances leading up to the death or the relationship between those involved.
