Evansville, IN – The Evansville Police Department announced an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on March 24, 2026, in the unit block of Kimber Lane.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 12:00 p.m. following multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire and a person down on the sidewalk.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim who was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities identified 16-year-old Noah R. Hogan as the suspect in the case. Hogan was taken into custody and booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center.
Police said Hogan is facing charges including murder, criminal recklessness, dangerous possession of a weapon by a child, and obstruction of justice.
Due to the severity of the charges, officials confirmed the juvenile has been waived to adult court.
The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the department’s Adult Investigation Unit.
