EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A fatal pedestrian accident occurred Saturday afternoon at the intersection of South Evans Avenue and Bellemeade Avenue, according to the Evansville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the scene around 12:30 p.m. after reports of a crash involving serious injuries. Emergency responders transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Unfortunately, the victim later died from their injuries.
The driver involved in the incident was also taken to the hospital for a blood draw as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police have not released the identities of those involved, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is still underway.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
