Evansville, Ind. — Authorities have identified the body discovered in Pigeon Creek on April 27 as 57-year-old Gary Brian Wilson of Evansville. The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office received a call that evening from kayakers who reported spotting a body floating in the water. Deputies quickly responded to the scene to recover the remains.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Wilson’s cause of death has been ruled as drowning. At this time, no additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding his death have been released.
