NEWBURGH, Ind. — A Silver Alert issued for two missing toddlers in Warrick County has been canceled after the children were located safely over the weekend.
Three-year-old Zy’ria Salas and one-year-old Zacari Owens were reported missing on Thursday, prompting a statewide alert and a widespread search effort led by the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office. The alert remained in effect through Friday as law enforcement agencies coordinated efforts to locate the siblings.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the children were found safe on Saturday evening with the assistance of multiple law enforcement agencies. Details regarding their whereabouts during the time they were missing have not been released.
While the immediate concern for the children’s safety has been resolved, officials say the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed whether any arrests have been made or if foul play is suspected.
