PIKE COUNTY, Ind. — Drivers in Pike County are advised to plan for lane closures along I-69 starting this week. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced alternating lane closures in both the northbound and southbound lanes near Petersburg.
The closures, set to begin Thursday, April 24, are part of an ongoing bridge deck project. Crews will be working to repair and upgrade the bridge, necessitating the temporary lane reductions.
Motorists should expect delays as the work progresses, with lane closures in place through the end of May. INDOT recommends drivers stay alert and plan accordingly, as the alternating closures may impact travel times, particularly during peak commuting hours.
