EVANSVILLE, Ind. – An Evansville man has pled guilty to multiple felony charges in connection with a child solicitation investigation.
Benjamin Seger, 24, appeared in court Thursday morning, where he admitted to charges including Child Exploitation, Vicarious Sexual Gratification, and Child Exploitation.
According to court records, Seger’s crimes date back to 2023 when he was accused of engaging in inappropriate online interactions with young boys. Investigators say Seger admitted to typing sexually explicit messages while the victims performed sex acts on video chat. Seger reportedly screen-captured the videos and traded them with others.
Police say the investigation uncovered disturbing material on Seger’s phone, including dozens of explicit images and videos. Some of these materials allegedly involved boys as young as eight to ten years old. Seger reportedly acknowledged that some of the videos involved children of this age group. Seger is scheduled for sentencing on March 3.
The case highlights growing concerns over online child exploitation and the potential dangers posed by digital communication platforms.
As the investigation continues to unfold, authorities are emphasizing the importance of vigilance in protecting children from online predators.
The outcome of this case underscores the serious consequences individuals face when involved in the exploitation of minors.
