Indianapolis, Indiana – One Indianapolis police officer was hospitalized following a single vehicle crash on Sunday.
According to police announcement, the patrol vehicle veered off the road and crashed on the city’s south side.
Reportedly, the officer was on his way to respond to a 911 call when the accident occurred. The crash happened on the intersection of Madison Avenue and Shelby Street. His vehicle ended turned on its side on the grass next to the two roads.
The responding police officers found the police officer trapped in the vehicle and he was safely removed. Obviously injured, he was immediately transferred to hospital for treatment.
According to the latest available information for the hospital where he is treated, his condition was stable.
