GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. — A routine traffic stop in Gibson County led to the arrest of an Oakland City man on multiple drug-related charges on Monday evening.
According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), 34-year-old Colton Doerner was stopped around 8 p.m. by deputies on State Road 57. The stop was initiated after a deputy noticed an equipment violation on a white 2000 Chevy Blazer driven by Doerner.
During the investigation, law enforcement officials reported finding illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. As a result, Doerner was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Doerner now faces several charges, including possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
