According to the Brownsburg Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday, two individuals who were connected to a gunshot that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man in Brownsburg on Thursday were detained by police.
Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Hornaday Road on Thursday just after 11 p.m. That is directly south of Cardinal and Delaware Trail elementary schools and just north of East County Road 300 North. Christian Arciniega, 20, was found dead from a gunshot wound when police arrived.
Investigators discovered that Deamonta McIntyre, 23, was driven to meet Arciniega for a prearranged narcotics deal by his girlfriend Kee Meh, 21. According to a press release, McIntyre attempted to rob Arcineiega during the transaction, which resulted in the shooting.
Officers discovered that the alleged thieves had taken Arciniega’s car and driven off. The stolen car was found abandoned in Indianapolis by investigators.
