Evansville, IN – The Evansville Police Department’s Mounted Patrol visited students at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center for a lesson focused on horses and public safety.
Mounted Patrol officers met with students in the Veterinary Science and Criminal Justice classes, giving them an opportunity to learn more about the role of horses in law enforcement and public safety.
The department described the visit as a great opportunity for students to learn about both veterinary science and public safety in their community.
The visit brought together two areas of study as students learned directly from Evansville police officers who work with the department’s mounted patrol.
