Evansville, IN – The Evansville Police Department and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office will host the next Coffee With a Cop event on Tuesday, April 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Donut Bank.
The event will be held in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and will focus on connecting community members with local organizations that provide support, advocacy, and resources for victims of sexual violence. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives, ask questions, and learn more about available services in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Members from the office of Stephanie Terry will also be in attendance, along with representatives from several participating organizations, including the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office Victim Assistance Program, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office Victim Services, Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Holly’s House, and YWCA Evansville.
Coffee With a Cop is a national initiative designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve through open conversation and engagement. Community members are encouraged to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee, and connect with both officers and local support service providers.
