Evansville, IN – Authorities in Evansville say a joint narcotics investigation resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old woman accused of dealing cocaine following a traffic stop earlier this week.
According to the Evansville Vanderburgh County Joint Task Force (EVCJTF), detectives had been conducting an investigation into Aubrey L. Davenport, who was suspected of selling narcotics from her residence. As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives initiated a traffic stop involving Davenport on February 16, 2026.
During the stop, investigators reported discovering nearly 60 grams of cocaine inside Davenport’s vehicle. Officials also confirmed that a firearm was seized at the scene.
Davenport was taken into custody without incident and subsequently charged with dealing cocaine, authorities said.
Law enforcement officials have not released additional details regarding the investigation, including how long detectives had been monitoring Davenport or whether further arrests are expected. Authorities also did not specify the circumstances that led to the traffic stop.
