Indianapolis, Indiana – After being shot on Indianapolis’ near south side Saturday night, a man is now healing.
Around 9:34 p.m., officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were sent to the junction of South East Street and Lincoln Street in response to reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, according to IMPD, police discovered a guy with gunshot wounds close to a homeless camp. The victim was sent in stable condition to Eskenazi Hospital.
According to IMPD, the incident is thought to have started close to 200 E. Caven St.
At this moment, IMPD is still on the site interviewing witnesses.
There was no additional information on potential suspects available at the time.
