Indianapolis, Indiana – The Speedway gas clerk who shot to death shoplifter on June 30 faces murder charges according to preliminary charging documents.
According to the witness who was at the scene when the incident occurred, the suspect identified as Vincent Bibbs, chased the suspect Damon McClain to his car on the parking lot in front of the gas station, McClain was carrying big clear bag, entered his car and slowly pulled away.
Bibbs was able to get to the car saying “just give it back, give it back”. McClain refused and Bibbs shot the man to death and returned to the store.
Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting and arrested Bibbs. When questioned by police, Bibbs admitted to pulling a gun at the shoplifter shooting him in the face. McClain died at the scene.
The suspect now faces murder charges.
