Evansville, IN – According to the statement, Deputy Naylor was nominated by his peers and was initially selected for the law officer of the year award at the Boonville American Legion Post 200 earlier this year.
He then advanced to the state level, competing against 12 other law enforcement officers who had been chosen as the law officers of the year for their districts.
The award ceremony was held this past Saturday in Indianapolis as part of the American Legion Department of Indiana State Convention.
As a reserve deputy, Deputy Naylor volunteers his time to serve the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Warrick County.
He has a long history of service, being a retired educator and administrator in the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation and having served many years with the Knight Township Fire Department before joining the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Naylor’s dedication and service have been exemplary, and this recognition is well deserved. Congratulations, Deputy Naylor!
