Indianapolis, Indiana – Indianapolis local authorities confirmed several shooting incidents across the city in the afternoon and night hours on Friday.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the most recent shooting incident took place at the Budget Inn 8 hotel and another hotel near the intersection of I-70 and Shadeland Avenue in the city’s east side. The police confirmed that one female victim was shot to death.
The case is under investigation as authorities don’t have suspect at this time, but they are talking to witnesses who were at the scene of the shooting and looking to obtain surveillance videos in the area.
Earlier in the day, three shootings happened within about an hour of each other in the late afternoon.
Another woman was found dead around 6 p.m. by the local authorities in a parking lot after a shooting in the 4300 block of Majestic Lane around 6 p.m. No more details were released by police about this case.
Police also responded to the intersection of 16th Street and Meridian Friday afternoon. The victim was reported to be in serious but stable condition. Crime scene tape was seen in an alley behind the McDonald’s.
Later, a third victim was found in the 1200 block of N. Gladstone Avenue. Their condition is stable, according to police.
A walk-in person shot was also reported at Community Hospital East. IMPD did not give information on that person’s condition or where the shooting might have taken place.
