Bloomington, Indiana – Following a lightning strike that reportedly started a fire at 2610 Windermere Woods Drive on Wednesday, one individual was forced to leave their home.
The Bloomington incident Department received a complaint about the incident and that smoke was visible at a duplex in the Windermere Woods area around 10:15 a.m., according to an email from Chief Battalion Roger Kerr II, the chief battalion at the department.
None of the firefighters or the residents were hurt, according to Kerr’s email. According to him, the 2612 address was substantially worse off than 2610 one.
According to Kerr’s email, the fire took an hour to put out after the fireman squad had been on the scene for three hours. No animals were hurt or misplaced.
