Indianapolis, Indiana – For Indiana residents looking to obtain a driver’s license, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is providing a new opportunity.
A driving abilities exam can be given by authorized training facilities to anyone with a current learner’s permit. This is made possible by House Enrolled Act 1050-2023.
Prior to this change, individuals with a learner’s permit had to wait 90 days after turning 16 to pass a driving skills exam.
According to the BMV, these modifications will increase the number of qualified Indiana residents’ options for passing their driving test while undergoing instruction.
