Anderson, Indiana – In the heart of Madison County, a church in Anderson is making a significant effort to combat the problem of food scarcity.
A ministry of Tabernaculo Adoracion Familiar Alpha Church, located at 522 E. St. in Anderson, is The Hands of Jesus Missional Food Pantry.
On February 19 at 3 p.m., the church will commemorate the food pantry. The event’s opening remarks will be made by Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. The event is also open to the leadership group of Second Harvest Food Bank, one of the organizations that collaborate with the missional food bank.
The food bank intends to provide a large number of households with wholesome food and personal care items. Throughout the next weeks, the Hands of Jesus Missional Food Pantry will begin operating on a regular basis.
Please email or call Pastor Dorama Azocar de Parra at taf.alphachurch@gmail.com for more details regarding the missional food pantry.
