Westfield, Indiana – Beginning on Monday, Citizen Energy Group personnel will be performing rehabilitation work on sewage infrastructure along Oak Road in Westfield between 151st and 171st Street. Drivers should use caution and pay attention to detour information.
Starting at 171st Street and moving south, the sewage infrastructure project will result in rolling traffic closures for the duration of the project. Even though the entire project area might not always be off-limits to cars, travelers are recommended to be aware of and follow any posted diversion signs.
This project will improve the wastewater infrastructure in the area, benefiting the southeast Westfield neighborhood, by more than $1 million.
According to a press release, traffic will be diverted along Westfield Boulevard while there are limitations in place between 171st and 161st streets. There will be a traffic detour using Carey Road while there are traffic restrictions in effect between 161st and 151st streets.
The project will be finished with several days of construction right inside the Silver Thorne neighborhood’s northern entrance, blocking Oak Road but leaving 151st Street open. The south door will remain open for community access throughout this construction.
The restoration work is anticipated to continue through the end of April.
