Indianapolis, Indiana – It was early Saturday morning when a fire broke out at an apartment building on the east side of the city, and firefighters claim they were able to save five individuals from the blaze.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, it took place at approximately 2:30 in the morning at the Indy Town Apartments, which are located close to the intersection of East 21st Street and Arlington Avenue.
According to the firefighters, prior to the arrival of the crews, two persons were forced to leap from the third story of the building, and six other people had minor injuries.
Within a quarter of an hour, the fire that was on the apartment’s first level was brought under control. An investigation has not yet been completed to determine what started the fire.
According to the fire department, none of the firefighters were hurt in the incident.
