Bloomington, Indiana – The first child to be born at IU Health Bloomington Hospital this year was Annalee Gracelynn Ward, who arrived there at 3:22 a.m. on January 1.
Annalee weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, according to an IU Health press statement. Christina and Andrew Ward are her parents, and they are from Ellettsville, Indiana.
The hospital, which debuted in December 2021, is the only sizable hospital in the Bloomington region.
On January 1st, infants were welcomed by other Indiana hospitals. Mason Morin and Charlie Jeanette Ridlen were born at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel Hospital and Franciscan Health Indianapolis, respectively, at 12:49 and 2:26 a.m.
