Indiana – The latest Covid-19 wave as a result of the Delta variant is not slowing to spread across the state.
According to the latest Covid-19 report, the state recorded 1,685 new positive cases.
In the latest report no new deaths were reported, but over the weekend 31 deaths were added. As we already reported, ISDH doesn’t issue daily reports over the weekend.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of positive cases now reaches 825,549, while the total number of reported deaths is 13,828. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 435 probable COVID-19 deaths have also been reported.
Currently, there are 1,875 people hospitalized in hospitals across the country. That’s 79 people more compared to Sunday.
A total of 6,125,546 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana. The number includes 3,072,107 first doses and 3,053,439 individuals who are fully vaccinated.
Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate among unique individuals through Aug. 16 is 18.8%.
