Carmel, Indiana – Carmel Police Department officers arrested and charged a 69-year-old man on Monday who brought a gun at a school board meeting.
According to the police reports, police officer who also attended the school board meeting saw the gun falling out of the suspect’s pocket while they were at the meeting. The officers immediately “took control of the weapon” and escorted the suspect out of the building.
The officer who took the gun said he didn’t think the man was a threat to anyone, but he took the suspect to the Hamilton County Jail.
He has been charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm on School Property, a Level 6 Felony.
