Lafayette, Indiana – Lafayette man was sentenced to 65 years in prison and five years of probation on Friday.
According to court records, the 22-year-old Andre Hastings was found guilty for the murder of Drequan Burglar. The incident happened in August 2019 when Burglar was shot to death in an apartment in Lafayette.
Hastings was found guilty for the murder of Burglar and a firearm enhancement.
The suspect was not immediately available to authorities as he was found almost 300 miles away in Carbondale, Illinois almost a month after the murder. He was hiding at relatives’ house.
