Evansville, Ind. — Construction is set to begin this week for an eight-classroom expansion at Evansville Christian School’s high school campus. The addition marks the first phase of a comprehensive master plan aimed at meeting the growing demands of the school’s student body.
The new classrooms are expected to provide much-needed space for the school’s high school program, which has seen substantial growth in recent years. The expansion is part of a larger plan that will include the construction of a new high school building, with the current building being repurposed to house middle school students.
“We’ve seen an 80% growth in enrollment over the past ten years,” said a spokesperson for the school. “This expansion is necessary to ensure we continue to offer a high-quality education and maintain a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students.”
In addition to the high school expansion, Evansville Christian School opened a new building for its K-6 students in 2021. The addition of the new classrooms will help support the school’s ongoing efforts to meet the needs of its growing student population.
The school’s leadership expressed excitement for the future, with plans to continue expanding as enrollment numbers continue to rise. “We’re grateful for the support of our community and look forward to seeing how these changes will positively impact our students and their educational experience,” the spokesperson added.
As the expansion moves forward, officials are confident that the new spaces will help create a more dynamic and thriving environment for the school’s students, faculty, and staff.
