Evansville, Ind. – Ascension St. Vincent, in collaboration with local agencies, is honoring Evansville Police Department (EPD) Officer Jordan Rundle as he continues his road to recovery following a serious off-duty car crash in Newburgh last December.
In a show of support for Officer Rundle, hospital staff are hosting a blood drive in partnership with Team Jordan, the Evansville Police Department, FOP Lodge #73 Evansville, and the American Red Cross. The blood drive will be held on Tuesday, January 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Manor at Ascension St. Vincent.
The event aims to help meet the community’s ongoing need for blood donations, while also providing a way for residents to rally around Officer Rundle during his recovery. Many local organizations have come together to ensure the blood drive’s success, recognizing the importance of supporting not just the individual, but also the wider community’s health needs.
Hospital representatives have expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from both the local community and law enforcement, and encourage anyone eligible to donate blood to take part in the drive.
As Officer Rundle continues his journey toward recovery, his colleagues and community members alike are hopeful that events like this will further strengthen the bonds between the police force and the people they serve.
