Evansville, IN — The Evansville Police Department (EPD) provided an update Monday on the condition of Officer Jordan Rundle, who was seriously injured in a car crash in Warrick County last week. Officer Rundle, who has served with the EPD since July 2024, was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision on State Road 66 near Sharon Road on December 10.
According to the EPD, Officer Rundle sustained significant injuries in the crash and was initially treated at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville. After receiving preliminary care, he was transferred over the weekend to a Nashville hospital for further treatment. The department has not disclosed the specific nature of his injuries.
In their statement, the EPD expressed their gratitude to St. Vincent’s Trauma Center, along with the Nashville Metro Police Department (NMPD) and the NMPD Fraternal Order of Police, for their assistance in facilitating Officer Rundle’s transfer. The department emphasized the collaborative efforts that helped ensure the officer received the necessary care.
The crash, which occurred late last week, has left the community concerned about Officer Rundle’s recovery. Authorities have not released additional details on the crash or any potential contributing factors.
