Speedway, Indiana – After the car they were in struck the leasing office of an apartment complex in Speedway, two parents and four kids suffered injuries.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night, Speedway police officers were called to the leasing office of the Stanford Court Apartments in response to reports of a car colliding with a structure. On the west side of Speedway, close to North High School Road and West 21st Street, is where you’ll find the leasing office.
Six people were hurt in the collision, according to SPD, and all six were last listed as having serious but stable conditions. According to preliminary information, the automobile, which was carrying an adult driver, an adult passenger, and four children, veered off the road and struck the front of the leasing office, only slightly damaging the structure.
Although the exact ages of all the children engaged in the incident are unknown, SPD stated that they were between the ages of 1 and 11.
After conducting an assessment, the on-scene police decided that the facility was secure enough to be occupied.
The accident’s cause is still under investigation.
