Indianapolis, Indiana – The Pike Township Fire Department is looking into a Friday morning fire that severely damaged a structure on the northwest edge of the city.
A building fire was reported along North Michigan Road and West 77th Street around 1:30 in the morning, according to fire officials. Although there were no people inside, considerable fire was reported on the roof by the first responders. The roof gave way.
Despite not knowing where the fire started, fire authorities said that the attic suffered severe damage. They said that the building was occupied and contained a ton of equipment, but they were unsure of the nature of the business.
Firefighters from Pike Township and the Indianapolis Fire Department responded. Firefighters weren’t hurt at all.
An investigation is still ongoing.
