Indianapolis, Indiana – An ongoing annual effort is currently under process to improve the availability of food options for IndyGo riders.
The Julia M. Carson Transit Center served as the venue for the Friday launch of the Food in Transit program, which is now in its sixth year of operation.
From two to five o’clock in the afternoon, every day until September 29th, participants in the program will receive free fresh food.
In addition, the 2023 initiative intends to feature cooking demos, free food bags including materials, and a collection of recipes.
IndyGo and Growing Places in Indianapolis collaborated on the introduction of the initiative.
