Evansville, Ind. — A Washington man was arrested by the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit on charges of distributing and possessing child pornography.
Chad Cooper, 42, was taken into custody following a search of his residence on May 28. The investigation began in March 2025 when a detective identified Cooper as a suspect through a series of investigative techniques.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Cooper’s home, where they seized multiple electronic and digital devices. Forensic analysis of the devices uncovered evidence of child pornography files.
Cooper now faces three counts of distribution and two counts of possession of child pornography. All charges involve victims under the age of 12.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force, which operates under the Indiana State Police, is committed to investigating and prosecuting internet-related child exploitation crimes.
