Evansville, IN – The Evansville Fire Department has announced the promotion of Captain Joe Hall to the role of Incident Safety Officer. The department shared the news in a celebratory social media post, highlighting Hall’s experience, dedication, and service since joining the department in 2011.
Over the course of his career, Hall has worked at several stations, including Stations 4, 7, and 17. He was first promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Engine 4. In 2023, following his promotion to Captain, he served on Engine 7, Quint 17, and later returned to Engine 4.
In addition to his primary duties, Hall has been an active member of specialized teams, including the Dive Rescue and Rope Rescue units. He also contributes to departmental operations by serving on multiple committees and holds a position on the Evansville Fire Department Athletic Club board.
The department’s announcement also gave a lighthearted personal touch, sharing that Hall’s walk-up or hype song is “Fergalicious” by Fergie and will.i.am—a detail that drew plenty of smiles from fellow firefighters and community members.
Hall is married to his wife Heather and is the proud father of three children: Kaleb, Josie, and Bishop. His promotion to Incident Safety Officer is seen as a recognition of both his professional commitment and leadership within the department.
Colleagues and residents alike have extended their congratulations to Safety Officer Hall as he steps into this important role, which focuses on maintaining safety and accountability during emergency operations.
