Bloomington, Indiana – Bloomington resident was arrested and charged following the stabbing incident that took place outside Bloomington hotel Thursday morning.
According to police, the 24-year-old man whose identity was not revealed, was arrested and charged for attempted murder for allegedly stabbing multiple times 27-year-old man to the Wingate by Wyndham, located at 1722 North Walnut Street.
The police responded at the scene just after 1 a.m. on Thursday following a 911 call in regards of a disturbance. The police said a woman who was staying in the hotel was running through the hotel asking for help after she saw the wounded man covered in blood who was stabbed in front of the hotel entrance.
The first responders helped the injured man as soon as they arrived at the scene. His identity was not revealed by police.
While officers were investigation the scene, they located the suspect lying in the backseat of a SUV who was parked on the parking lot in front of the hotel. The police said he was about to fled the scene.
The suspect was arrested and charged with attempted murder, but additional charges might be added. He is held in the Monroe County Jail.
Police believe the evidence they found at the scene, clothes covered in blood and a knife, belong to the suspect.
The victim is in stable condition.
