Evansville, IN – A Vanderburgh County man is facing multiple charges following an altercation early Sunday morning at a home on Wright Drive. Deputies responded to the scene just before 1:00 a.m. after a 911 call reported a disturbance involving 33-year-old Logan Small.
According to the authorities, the caller claimed that the confrontation began when Small kicked a dog. Upon arrival, deputies detained Small and began questioning the individuals present at the residence. Several people reported injuries and told investigators that Small had allegedly grabbed a pair of black scissors, taken an aggressive stance, and threatened to retrieve a gun, stating he would “take care of everyone.”
During the investigation, deputies read Small his Miranda rights, and he reportedly told them the argument was primarily about the dog but also involved issues related to drugs. Small denied hitting the dog or any of the individuals in the home.
As a result of their findings, law enforcement officials arrested Small on several charges, including intimidation with a deadly weapon, multiple counts of battery, criminal mischief, and animal cruelty. Small was subsequently booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail, with a bond set at $1,500.
The incident is still under investigation as authorities work to gather further details about the events leading up to the altercation.
