Indianapolis, Indiana – Tuesday night shooting in housing complex on Indianapolis’ northeast side results with on dead, police say.
Officers were in the area of Brentwood Drive area when they heard shots being fired. They immediately responded at the scene in the 4000 block of Stratford Court near East 42nd Street and North Post Road. When they arrived at the scene, they found the 24-year-old Oliver Wallace suffering gunshot wounds.
When medical teams arrived shortly after, they pronounced the man dead.
This has been the third fatal shooting in the complex since the start of the year. For comparison, at least six deadly shootings were reported in the same complex last year June-November 2020.
Two of the shooting this year in the housing complex took place in January where the 28-year-old Jerrell Moten was shot and killed on January 12, while the second January shooting took place on January 29 when the 46-year-old James Goliday was also shot and killed.
Both of these cases remain unsolved as of now.
