Evansville, IN — A three-vehicle crash on Highway 41 and Columbia Street in the southbound lanes was reported at 2:56 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The accident, which initially raised concerns about possible injuries, has since been confirmed to have resulted in no injuries to any of the drivers involved.
According to officials, the collision was triggered by a medical emergency experienced by one of the drivers. Emergency responders from the Evansville Police Department (EPD), Evansville Fire Department (EFD), and American Medical Response (AMR) arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported.
Despite the lack of injuries, the southbound lanes of Highway 41 remain closed as of 3:30 p.m. to allow tow trucks to clear the wreckage. Authorities have not provided additional details on the condition of the driver who suffered the medical emergency.
Sergeant Blake Hollins of the Evansville Police Department noted that traffic delays are expected while the scene is cleared. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as crews work to restore normal traffic flow.
