EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A local high school teacher has been arrested on multiple charges after being accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old student. Noah McBride, 31, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Monday evening after being released from the hospital, where he had reportedly been treated for self-inflicted injuries.
McBride faces several serious charges, including eight counts of Child Seduction, three counts of Child Solicitation, Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, Official Misconduct, Obstruction of Justice, and Intimidation. These charges stem from allegations made by the victim, who confided in officials at Holly’s House, an organization that assists survivors of abuse, about multiple sexual interactions with McBride.
Authorities say the alleged incidents took place while the victim was 15 years old. The investigation began after the victim reported the encounters to Holly’s House, prompting law enforcement to launch a formal inquiry into the allegations.
Sheriff Noah Robinson confirmed that McBride is being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $75,000 bond. The case has sent shockwaves through the community, particularly among students and staff at the high school where McBride worked.
At this time, law enforcement is continuing their investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming as new details emerge. The community remains on edge as McBride awaits his legal proceedings.
Officials are encouraging anyone with further information regarding the case to come forward as the investigation continues.
