Indianapolis, Indiana – A new ranking of the nation’s top restaurants demonstrates that the Indianapolis dining scene is not one to be disregarded.
The top 100 restaurants in the United States according to Yelp include Vida (ranked no. 37) and Livery (ranked no. 91).
The list was created based on Yelp reviewers’ tips and then ranked based on “ratings, number of reviews, and volume of submissions, with geographic representation based on an equal share of submissions of top-rated restaurants nationally.”
The Cunningham Restaurant Group’s Vida (601 E. New York St.) is regarded as one of the best places for excellent dining in Circle City. It provides a four-course tasting menu for $85 as well as a seasonal a la carte menu.
It is also one of the select few eateries in Indianapolis to receive the AAA Four Diamond designation.
“I can’t say enough good things about Vida. If you are celebrating something, go. Just go. The ambiance, service, and food are impeccable,” wrote one reviewer.
Another restaurant owned by the Cunningham Restaurant Group, Livery (720 N. College Ave.), adds a touch of Latin flavor to the downtown eating scene.
The two-story building’s previous usage as a horse stable in the 1890s may be the reason why the restaurant is famous for its empanadas as well as its roomy interior and exterior.
“If you’re searching for somewhere with flavor and spice you’ve found it! From their drink selection to their menu, there’s never a bad selection,” said one Yelper.
Only two restaurants from Indiana made the list: Vida and Livery, which isn’t bad considering that other states weren’t represented at all.
Florida ranked second with 14 restaurants, while California had the most with 28.
